These items are not repairable back to their original state, so are offered as craft items that would make really nice little earrings or pendants once trimmed to a good shape.  Alternatively you could cut them in half to make mer-horses, or even combine them with other models for unique customs.  Priced with this in mind, a nice little extra to add to an order to make the most of combined shipping.
