FAQs
Who is Kelly?
Kelly Sealey is a British sculptor and digital artist, she creates equine-based sculptures for the collectibles markets which are offered in a variety of media including tradition cast resin and china, artist cast resin, 3D printed resin and pewter. Kelly also designed and collated the sculpting tools and other products you can find on this website.
Prior to moving to this business full-time in 2015, Kelly worked for over 20 years as a 3D Computer Designer (sculpting model horses as a side-business), she was lucky to enjoy a career that allowed her to work on a great number of projects for many companies around the globe. Her 3D computer design work was extremely varied; from architectural to motorsport, product design to stereoscopic immersive virtual environment design and animations, so Kelly has a very well-rounded knowledge of most aspects of 3D design. Since 2015 her sole focus has been on the creation and production of equine sculpture, which has allowed her to explore the huge potential that digital scanning/sculpting and 3D printing has brought to prototyping and low volume manufacturing.
Where is Kelly's Studio located?
Kelly lives in Northamptonshire, England, UK. Right in the middle - the furthest place you can be from the sea in England (which is still under 2 hours as we're a small island!). Kelly works both from home and from her studio which is at the Weedon Depot (around 25 minutes away, a very historical and interesting site dating back to the late 1700s) and produces her 3D printed editions via these two sites, but she also uses companies across the world to cast copies of her sculptures in fine china, artist quality resin and pewter (and also sterling silver occasionally!), so some items will ship from the UK and some ship direct from the US. See each item's web page for detailed information specific to that item.
How do orders on this website work?
This isn't a straightforward e-commerce website (sorry!). As so many of my collectors are based internationally, it is almost impossible to have shipping set up correctly for all possible eventualities in terms of VAT, Tariffs and the great may options for shipping regarding weight, size and courier choices. Due to this, shipping and associated costs often needs to be calculated and invoiced separately after you've placed your order, especially when combining several items.
In addition to the complexities of shipping costs, shipping locations also play a factor. Some of my larger items are produced in the US and as such, can ship direct from there, offering savings on shipping to those in the US and many other countries. This does mean, however, that these items cannot have their shipping combined with items that ship direct from me here in the UK (or from multiple US suppliers), as it's not possible to put them into one parcel when they are produced in different countries.
I try my very best to keep things clear by including details of this vital information on the photos for each model, so you can make an informed choice on which items you choose. I include shipping guides and estimates on larger items where possible, as shipping costs and legal requirements for each country change so often, I'm unable to keep exact pricing for this, so as such shipping is often invoiced after the order is placed. You will see during checkout your options for shipping and whether it needs to be invoiced separately.
Lead times vary greatly, as many items are made to order there can be a waiting period for shipping, again estimates on lead times are added where possible, so please read the descriptions on each item you plan to purchase and work to the longest lead-time if purchasing multiple items. I appreciate it's a lot of information, sadly I've not found a simpler way just yet (but I am constantly working on this!).
Do you offer Time Payments
As of April 2026, I no longer offer Time Payments on individual items. There are many options available via PayPal, Klarna etc which should offer a solution that works for you. You can request short time payments on larger orders (£500+) by contacting me.
When will I receive my order?
Kelly's Studio is an artist owned and managed company, and each item is hand-made and a work of art in its own right. Lead times can vary greatly and depend on a number of factors, estimates are offered on each sales page as to the expected lead times for that item, but if you would like a more accurate estimate on delivery times, please contact Kelly.
Can I make changes to an order I already placed?
Provided your order hasn't shipped yet, you are welcome to make changes to your order, just get in touch via the Contact page. Orders placed are subject to the Terms and Conditions of this website and some payments (eg Time Payments) cannot be refunded, but may be transferred to a different item in some cases.
Can I cancel my order?
If you change your mind within 14 days of placing an order and the item(s) have not yet shipped, then in most cases a refund can be issued (less reasonable costs of around 10%). Please see the Refunds and Returns policy page for more information on this. Once your item ships, if you want to return it for any reason other than it being faulty or damaged, you can do so but if you are not in the UK you must follow the instructions in the link on the Refunds and Returns page, or your refund may not be possible.
Do you use AI for any of your artwork?
NO! Even the coloured images used for stickers and icons on this site have all been created by Kelly using a combination of ZBrush and Photoshop (Photoshop has AI capabilities but these are not used). Colours are applied to the 3D models digitally by hand, often hair-by hair, and each one can take days to produce. All artwork on this website is created by a human.
AI is damaging to artists and the environment, Kelly is wholeheartedly against the use of generative AI for any purpose and will never knowingly use it.
