A Maxi Cob is basically an oversized Show Cob, standing 15.2hh (155cm) or over. The Show Cob is a type rather than a breed, but the judging requirements for them are as discerning as for any breed. Judged in the ring on their type, ride and manners, it is important that these large, stocky built horses are required to behave impeccably whilst being shown under saddle performing each gait, jumping up to 2'9", under side-saddle and/or turned out to perfection with hogged (roached) mane, oiled hooves and perhaps a subtle quarter-mark. Shown as mares or geldings, I have chosen to portray a well mannered gelding in canter, just as you would see under saddle at any of the larger agricultural and county shows.

Quintessentially British, the Maxi Cob type, whilst understated in appearance it is imperative that they behave like a gentleman (or gentlewoman); plain-faced yet full of expression, my strong, gentle, well mannered gelding could be carrying rider in tweed jacket and beige breeches, or a navy habit (dress) and top hat sidesaddle at the Royal shows.
Measuring just 34mm tall this model is classed as a Micro Mini in scale. Sculpted by hand in clay (ie not a scanned/3D printed mini) It is to be produced in both resin and pewter. I am casting the resin edition in my signature tan resin, the pewter edition is to be cast by another company, more details on that to follow. All copies will be supplied in a black presentation box for safe travels and storage.
As with all my Micro Mini resins, this is an open edition. Models will be supplied in the order they are fully paid for (resin and pewter editions running separately but concurrently).
